Review by Dale Heller

Volume II by Woody Herman is a fantastic album that features some of the most talented musicians in the industry. With guest artists like Charlie Byrd and Tito Puente, this album is a must-listen for jazz enthusiasts.

The album is a perfect blend of swing and Latin jazz, with each track showcasing the unique style and flair of the guest artists. The tracks are well-arranged, and the musicianship is top-notch. The album has a great flow, and listeners will find themselves tapping their feet and nodding their heads along with the music.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Manteca." Tito Puente's percussion work is impeccable, and the horns and saxophones add a layer of depth and complexity to the track. "Blues in the Night" is another great track that showcases the talents of Charlie Byrd. His guitar work is soulful and melodic, and the track has a laid-back, bluesy feel to it.
