Review by anne jenamae agda

The album "Memory Of Bach" by Krzysztof Komeda is a mesmerizing tribute to the great composer Johann Sebastian Bach. The album is a collection of ten tracks that feature Komeda's unique interpretation of Bach's music, blending classical and jazz elements to create a truly captivating listening experience.

Komeda's piano playing is the centerpiece of the album, and his virtuosity is on full display throughout. He masterfully weaves in and out of Bach's melodies, adding his own flourishes and improvisations to create a sound that is both fresh and timeless. The other musicians on the album, including bassist Roman Dylag and drummer Rune Carlsson, provide a solid foundation for Komeda's playing, adding depth and texture to the music.

The album begins with the hauntingly beautiful "Chorale Prelude BWV 639," which sets the tone for the rest of the record. The following tracks, including "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor BWV 565" and "Goldberg Variations BWV 988," showcase Komeda's skill at blending classical and jazz styles seamlessly.
