Review by shawn underwood

Fell From The Sun, the latest album from Clay Allison, is a captivating and haunting collection of songs that showcase the artist's unique blend of folk, country, and rock influences. Throughout the album, Allison's distinctive voice and poetic lyrics convey a sense of melancholy and introspection, while the music itself ranges from sparse acoustic ballads to driving electric rockers.

One standout track is "Broken," a stripped-down ballad that showcases Allison's raw emotional power and vulnerability. The haunting "Ghost Town" evokes a sense of desolation and abandonment, while the rollicking "Wildfire" is a foot-stomping romp that showcases the artist's versatility and range.

Fell From The Sun is a stunning achievement that cements Clay Allison's status as one of the most talented and compelling singer-songwriters working today. Fans of alt-country and Americana will find much to love here, while newcomers will be drawn in by the album's rich storytelling and evocative melodies. Highly recommended.

Kendra has one of those rare beautiful voices like Karen Carpenter or Liz Frasier that shake you to your core and comfort you simultaneously
Beautiful lullaby, before disappearing

Back when such things mattered, this was the final song on every mixtape I made.
Just gorgeous.

Kendra wrote this right after her first composition Fell From The Sun. Was still transitioning from bass to guitar and intuiting chords she didn't even know. Seriously.... genius.

Haunting.  Sounds a little like a female Syd Barrett.

These words seem appropriate on the day David died
We're leaving
Carry all you want to keep
Children it is time to go to sleep
Why don't you be good children
Close your eyes
Why don't you be good children
Close your eyes

The Best!
Ha!  Brilliantly reminiscent of "Grey/Afro" by Skip Spence.  Not a rip-off at all.  They were just honoring one of their sources.

Sounds so much like early Floyd, circa 1968. Kingfisher or something like that. Kingfisher is one of my favorite all-time songs.
