This was a very pleasant surprise. Bigger names than I care to mention have had their necks snapped fast by Joni's topsy-turvy melodies. Wait for the rhyme, wait for it, wait. Friis knows how to drag the notes just long enough to finally arrive at spine-tingling pleasures. Along the route she brings back a bouquet of the lesser known gems from the Canadian Californian. Thank you for doing so. Here's hoping for more...
